Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026. This policy explains what Stockclipper collects, why we use it, who helps us process it, and how you can export or delete your account data.
Data We Collect
We collect account details such as your email address, user ID, plan, and account timestamps. Product data may include saved watchlist tickers, alert activity, research chat sessions and messages, usage limits, and settings needed to run the service. Payment details are handled by Stripe; Stockclipper stores the Stripe customer reference, not full card details.
How We Use Data
We use account and product data to provide the app, secure authentication, apply plan limits, generate AI research responses, operate alerts, improve reliability, debug issues, prevent abuse, and communicate service updates.
AI Processing
When you use AI features, prompts, chat history, trend context, and relevant market or signal context may be sent to AI model providers so they can generate responses. Do not enter sensitive personal, brokerage, tax, or account-login information into research chats.
Processors And Providers
We use service providers to run Stockclipper, including Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, Vercel for application hosting, Railway for database and infrastructure, Anthropic for AI model responses, Umami for privacy-minded analytics, and market/signal data providers such as Finnhub and Twelve Data where configured. These providers process data only as needed to provide their part of the service.
Selling And Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do share data with processors and providers when needed to operate Stockclipper, comply with law, protect the service, or complete actions you request.
Retention
We keep account and product data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. When account deletion completes, we delete local Stockclipper user data from our application database. Some processor records, including Stripe payment, invoice, tax, and compliance records, may be retained by those providers as required by law and their policies.
Your Choices
Authenticated users can export account data and request account deletion from Settings. You can also contact [email protected] for data questions. For billing records, Stripe may require some information to be retained for legal and compliance reasons.
Security
We use managed authentication, encrypted transport, access controls, and hosted database infrastructure to protect account data. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password or social login security controls and contact us if you believe your account is at risk.
Children And Changes
Stockclipper is not intended for children. We may update this policy as the product or providers change. Material updates will be reflected on this page.
